We love spending time getting lost amongst books, and one of favourite shops for browsing is the Secret Book and Record Store. Just a two-minute walk from the Wren Urban Nest – located on Wicklow Street, this gem of a shop is easy to miss unless you know exactly where it is. But once you step inside you are treated to a treasure trove of new and second-hand books, as well as plenty of great records. A gorgeous lifestyle concept store selling so many wonderfully curated items from a wide range of brands including Monk & Anna, Field Day and HK living to name a few. Without a doubt, this is of our favourite places to shop in the city. Hen’s Teeth is a lifestyle store, art gallery and café with the coolest, curated collections to buy. It’s only a short walk from Wren to Blackpitts in the Dublin 8 neighbourhood, and it’s well worth a visit. Check out their unique homewares, unreal selection of hot sauce, and fine art prints in their shop and poke your head into Hen’s Teeth Studio to see their exhibitions and collaborations with artists and brands from around the world.
Circular fashion is where it’s at, and Siopaella is an Aladdin’s cave for luxury brand aficionados. Siopaella is a gorgeous consignment store (just off Grafton Street) which is full to the brim with Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, and Vivienne Westwood to name a few. The CEO and founder Ella de Guzman and her team are fashion experts, and their philosophy is that sustainable fashion is the future for our planet. Each item sold is 100% genuine designer and authenticated by their knowledgeable team at their Wicklow Street shop.
