Sustainability at Wren, we know that every little step we take makes a huge difference when it comes to sustainability. Whether it’s something as small as using ethical toiletries in the bathrooms, or something as large as an advanced HVAC system to maximise energy efficiency, we want to ensure we’re not only limiting our impact on the environment, but actively making it better.
We constructed our Urban Nest using the most advanced sustainable technologies, eliminating the need for fossil fuels and allowing us to use 100% renewable electricity. Our smart HVAC system allows us to share energy around the building, keeping us cool in the summer and cosy in the winter. Our bedrooms use 1/10 of the water that an average hotel uses on a daily basis.
We know how damaging single use plastics are, which is why we use alternatives wherever we possibly can. In fact, we even have free filtered water available on every floor, so you can have a constant supply of chilled drinking water to take to your nest or carry with you around the city.
Our chefs are passionate about using the best local produce, and work in a way that is as low impact as possible. We know our producers, and know that food tastes its best when it’s local, seasonal and organic where possible. Luckily, the produce we have in Ireland is some of the best in the world. Most importantly, we know that being as sustainable as we can be shouldn’t impact on comfort, style and warmth. That’s why we’ve chosen treats for your room that are as delicious as they are ethical, and why your bedding feels like silk against the skin when you slip under the covers at night. All of our energy is renewable and we actively choose recycled and biodegradable materials. Every little decision we make is made with the environment in mind. We love to use local, craft products throughout all areas of the building (and believe that Irish produce is some of the best in the world).
