The Little Museum of Dublin

The Little Museum of Dublin

It's no secret that some museums can be a little stuffy. But that's definitely not the case at the Little Museum. Step inside the Georgian townhouse and you'll be taken on a journey through the last century of Dublin, on a guided tour that will teach you everything you could possibly want to know about the city.

You'll learn about how Dubliners used to live, how many people would occupy a house just like this one, as you sit in a living room with huge, comfy seats (you can even help yourself to the jar of sweets, if you like). Then you'll move on to learn all about the quirkier side of Irish history, from the characters of Podge and Rodge to the female presidents of Ireland.

There's a whole room dedicated to U2, the walls packed with memorabilia, and there's always an interesting rotating exhibit on the ground floor, too.

The tours themselves last around half an hour, after which you're free to explore at your leisure. But these are no normal tours. The guides are delightfully quirky and entertaining, as well as being incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the city. If there's a question that they can't answer, well, chances are no one can...
